"I am very happy and proud that France will host the 19th Junior Eurovision Song Contest on December 19, 2021.

This is a great first for our country and for Paris, the host city of this contest. La Seine Musicale will be a magical setting for the 19 talents gathered for this event so dear to French and European audiences of all generations.

By hosting this year's Junior Eurovision, we are writing a new page in the great musical adventure that has united us for over 60 years. All the teams at France Télévisions would like to welcome all the countries that will be taking part in the contest, especially those that were unable to take part in last year's show because of the pandemic. With the end-of-year celebrations approaching, we are keen to recapture the spirit of celebration and sharing that is so characteristic of Eurovision with a magical and surprising show that will delight all European viewers.

The slogan of the 2021 Contest is "Imagine". This is of course a reference to Valentina's song, winner of the Junior Eurovision 2020 in Poland. But also and above all, it is an incentive to create and dream. The power of imagination is infinite, and more necessary than ever today to draw the contours of tomorrow's world. Let's let children and young people open the way to a brighter future!

I would like to warmly thank the EBU teams who worked alongside us to organize this event.

See you on 19 December for a great moment of emotion that will bring together all Europeans around the performances of our young artists in the City of Light.

"It is a pleasure and an honor to welcome you to Paris, the City of Light, for the 19th Junior Eurovision Song Contest. We are delighted that young artists from 19 countries are taking part in this contest, which is being held in France for the first time. This year, France Télévisions invites us all to "imagine". And this is what these young talents will do: imagine the millions of viewers around the world, imagine the pride of the nations they represent and imagine bringing home the Junior Eurovision trophy. The European Broadcasting Union is delighted to work with the dedicated team at France Télévisions, who have shown vision, creativity and commitment. I am grateful to them, to all our young artists and to the participating organizations for their meticulous work in the lead-up to the show. The show, broadcast live on the Eurovision network and on the internet, will be an unforgettable experience for all involved. Nineteen outstanding performances, a spectacular stage and, for the first time ever, a Christmas theme will help make this the most magical Junior Eurovision Song Contest ever! Good luck to all participants!"
