Synopsis
Five years after their return to power, the Taliban have imposed an unyielding fundamentalist regime in Afghanistan, marked by extreme rigidity and isolation from the rest of the world. A regime that erases women from public space, persecutes its opponents, and confines its population to a liberty-deprived daily life, but which has managed to silence the guns and establish a viable administration while revitalizing rural areas and putting an end to its opium production.
Through the perspectives of men and women grappling with these upheavals,the film portrays a paradoxical state governed by an extreme rigidity, unparalleled in the contemporary world.
