Launching of the international sales of LOOK AT THE SKY, TRUST THE MOUNTAINS

France tv distribution is delighted to announce the launching of the international distribution of LOOK AT THE SKY,  TRUST THE MOUNTAINS (original title: TU ME DIRAS), a film by Radu Mihaileanu, starring Pierre Lottin, Marwa Haqjoo et Karim Seghair.

Distributed worldwide by France tv distribution, LOOK AT THE SKY,  TRUST THE MOUNTAINS will be launched at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous, which will take place from January 13 to 20, 2026 in Paris.

This film is produced by Elzévir Films and Oï Oï Oï Productions and will be distributed in French cinemas by ARP Sélection.

Synopsis

August 2021, the Taliban seized Kabul. Michael Le Guen, a French RAID agent assigned to the Embassy, is unable to evacuate the Afghan family he has become friends with and loves like his. The parents, Noor and Laila, are executed. Michael vowed to save their

11-years-old daughter Marwa, a mischievous little genius who dreams of becoming an astronaut and now hates him for breaking his promise. 

Forced to flee by car, then on muleback, crossing an Afghanistan that is both dangerous and wondrous to reach the Uzbek border, Michael and Marwa only have the sky, the high mountains and an Afghan fixer as allies. 

Amidst danger, heartbreak, absurd situations, Michael and Marwa, a constant source of questions, gradually rebuilt their trust, forging an unexpected bond that would change their lives forever.
