To represent France at Eurovision 2025, Louane returns with an intimate, powerful and universal song: ‘Maman’. It's a moving song, full of life, that transcends time, generations and emotions. Louane will carry the hopes of an entire country to the Eurovision 2025 Grand Final on 17 May in Basel, Switzerland.
In simple but deeply moving words, Louane recounts the journey of a lifetime: that of a child who became a woman, of a daughter who became a mother. ‘Maman’ is a timeless declaration of love, a suspended dialogue between past and present, between absence and transmission.
The soft, airy melody gives way to raw emotion. Carried by Louane's unique voice, somewhere between fragility and strength, the song is in the tradition of the great ballads whose sincerity unites the audience.
With ‘Maman’, Louane offers us much more than just a song: a moment of truth, a hymn to love, an echo of everyone's experience. A declaration to France and Europe.
Louane :
‘maman’, my song for l'Eurovision 2025, is finally available everywhere! This track is so special and I hope you love it as much as I do. Thank you for your amazing support... can't wait for the rest
Alexandra Redde-Amiel, Director of Entertainment and Games at France Télévisions and head of the French Eurovision delegation:
Maman! A song that touches the heart! Revealed in a magical place between heaven and earth! The Stade de France. Timeless, it stands the test of time.
With maman, Louane gives us much more than a powerful, inspiring song: she reveals a part of herself, without artifice, without superfluity. It's a hymn, a declaration of love to life, to the passing of time and to the most universal and powerful figure in the world: a mother! She chose to open her heart without restraint, with authenticity and generosity, to reach out to European families.
How proud we are to bring such a special song to the international stage with such a genuine artist .
Louane biography
Louane, a major icon on the French music scene, is much more than an artist: she is a bridge between the intimate and the universal. Revealed at the age of 16 in The Voice, then awarded the César for Best New Actress for La Famille Bélier, in barely a decade she has touched millions of hearts and written a deeply human work. Her songs, echoes of her own life and those of others, resonate with a rare authenticity, combining elegance and intensity.
With over 3 million albums sold and songs that have become generational anthems, Louane has left her mark on the French music scene. From Chambre 12 (double diamond disc), buoyed by the dazzling success of ‘Avenir’, to Solo, the fruit of an intimate collaboration with his fans, each album reflects a key stage in his life. Her latest opus, ‘Solo’, sublimates this journey, exploring the contrasts between light and shadow, fragility and power.
At 28, Louane embodies a new generation of artists capable of reinventing themselves while remaining true to their roots. With sold-out tours of Europe's biggest venues and prestigious awards (NRJ Music Awards, Les Victoires de la musique), she lights up the stage with her voice, her sincerity and her ability to capture the essence of human emotion. Louane is the melody of the heart and the soul of an era.
