ERDOGAN, THE RISE TO ABSOLUTE POWER (La Turquie selon Erdogan)

La Turquie selon Erdogan

The documentary tells the story of the slow transformation of a man. Once democratic and pro-European, he is now a reactionary head of state with autocratic aims. From the abrupt cessation of Turkey’s EU accession talks in 2010 to the colossal purges destabilizing the country today, we are studying the implementation of a ruthless strategy aimed at making the Turkish president the new Sultan of the Middle East. We explore changes in Turkish society, map the fault lines that divide the country today and examine the conflicting dynamics that have turned modern Turkey into a country that is increasingly torn between East and West.

The documentary can be seen in Poland, in Italy, in Belgium, in Germany, in Austria, in Luxembourg and in Liechtenstein.

Length: 52' -  Film-making: Anne-Fleur Delaistre - Production: Causette Prod - 2017 - France 5

MALARIA BUSINESS

Malaria Business

In telling the story of Artemisia and those who are fighting for the wider dissemination of this plant, Malaria Business puts those institutions who for the last 50 years have been trying to combat malaria up against the wall. In 2017 the disease continues to kill one child every 2 minutes, the parasite which causes it is becoming resistant to medicines, the mosquitoes get around mosquito nets and the vaccination promised for 2018 is falling short of expectations. In the meantime, researchers in Africa and elsewhere reveal that a simple infusion of Artemisia can prevent and treat malaria.  This plant has been used for over 2000 years in China, and yet the WHO advises against its use and it is banned in France.

The poignant documentary that denounces the surprising Malaria treatment business has just been launched on the foreign sales market by France tv distribution. It is already showing a strong interest.

Length: 70' -  Film-making: Bernard Crutzen - Production: Caméra One Télévision, Zistoires et la RTBF-unité documentaire, with France Télévisions participation - 2017 - France Ô
