One of the leading shows at MIPTV will be Season 2 of dramedy Call my Agent! (6x52’) that takes us into the unknown world of talent agents, far better at protecting their stars than living their own lives... The flamboyant series (Mon Voisin Productions and Mother Production) unveils the other side of showbiz with lots of twists, humor, feeling and glamour and a star-studded cast: Isabelle Adjani, Juliette Binoche, Christophe Lambert, Fabrice Luchini, Virginie Efira, Julien Doré…

Captain Marleau (5x90’) is a cop with a definitely different approach who never drops her Ushanka or her cheeky sense of humor. Under her zany appearance lies a feminine version of Columbo with an uncanny instinct. This detective series produced by Passions Films combines suspense, humor and dram with guest star cameos in each episode: Gérard Depardieu, Victoria Abril, Muriel Robin, Jean-Pierre Marielle, Pierre Arditi, Sandrine Bonnaire, etc.

Alex Hugo

Alex Hugo is an adventure/cop series (8x90’) produced by MFP reminiscent of western film codes and a thriller adaption set in wild natural landscapes. Each episode deals with a death or disappearance under troubled circumstances. The high mountains play a definite part in the plots. The unusual series stars a police officer in want of freedom (Samuel Le Bihan), who chose to live alone in the Alps. His free spirit, instinctive approach and charismatic personality make the program even more captivating.

Captain Sharif is a detective series (4 Seasons – 38x52’) produced by Makingprod. A Police Captain at the Criminal Police section in Lyon, Kader Sharif is passionate about his job and amused by those whom it surprises. A local cop who knows his city inside out, he never really leaves the precinct since... he lives across the street. Sharif has enjoyed top results for solving cases over the past years. He feels that legitimates his 'unusual' approach, which often clashes with his teammate Adeline Briard, who is a elegant as she is rigorous. They actually are not only complementary but a fantastic team!

This 52’ documentary film produced by Causette Prod tells the story of the slow transformation of a man who used to be a pro-European democrat into a hardhat head of state with autocratic ambitions. From the brutal stop put to the negotiations for becoming part of the EU in 2010, to the massive purges that are unsettling Turkey nowadays, the film shows the relentless system implemented to make the Turkish president into the new Sultan of the Near/Middle-East. The documentary questions the mutations of Turkish people and points to its dividing fault lines.

Paul Verhoeven tells his own story in this documentary film that includes numerous film excerpts as well as interviews of his close ones, actors, and biographers who have known him since he started.

Mad une héroïne de l'ombre

Two against Hitler

During WW2, MAD was the pseudonym of one of French intelligence main agents called Madeleine Richou. She was able to provide crucial information on a number of Hitler's projects thanks to her 'privileged ties' with an Austrian officer Erwin Lahousen Elder von Vivremont. True to her duty of confidentiality, this discreet, reserved woman who also was incredibly courageous, remained silent during her entire life. Her memoirs were recently found and declassified, paving the way for this 52' documentary film produced by Label Image that unveils the exceptional story of Madeleine Richou and Erwin Lahousen, who worked together against Nazism although they officially belonged to opposite camps.
